Did you know that our world has about 6,500 languages? Ferdinand De Saussure, considered to be one of the fathers of twentieth century linguistics, defines language as a product of collective mind of linguistic groups.
Many countries are multilingual. For example in India, there are 22 major languages, written in 13 different scripts, with over 720 dialects. The official Indian languages are Hindi (with approximately 420 million speakers) and English, which is also widely spoken.
Here, in Gtongue, we have made a humble attempt to organize a platform for contributing and preserving our individual languages and also help people in translation.
